Hi Peter,
Thank you for the message, the gun arrived safely just after lunch.
What can I say......it is an absolute masterpiece of craftsmanship!
Dennis and Chris have worked their magic and the finished result is quite stunning. It is good to know that we still have skilled craftsmen who can produce such quality work.
Thank you very much to all involved.
I shall be using the gun this Saturday on a 200 bird day - all of my fellow guns are looking forward to "inspecting" the SO5 - I'm sure they will be amazed with the quality of finish.
I would have no hesitation in recommending your work to anyone who required a gun repaired or any work whatsoever. Please, feel free to use me as a testimonial for anyone who may need reassurance about workmanship in the future.
A fantastic job, well done Dennis and Chris.
Kindest Regards
Keith B

Peter, I popped down to Dennis' place this afternoon and picked up my Browning. This e mail is just to put on record my thanks and appreciation to....
both Dennis and Chris for the care and attention given to my gun. This is not a gun of any real value but still the quality of workmanship is clear to see. Their work is superb and I’m very pleased.
Many thanks and rest assured I will show this gun off and will recommend you to all that ask.
Very best wishes for the future and a Happy Christmas to you all.

Hi Dennis very sorry for the late reply! my Internet has been down, But WOW the gun looks awesome!!...
I really am over the moon, you guys have done a fantastic job, the wood looks brilliant, the colour and pattern has really come through, along with the top lever, it looks and feels like a new gun, the chequering really looks smart too, im very pleased with the gun and have allready recomended you to many of my freinds, the only thing is it cost me an extra £300 as i had to buy a semi auto to go out pigeoning and rough shooting as i dont want to scratch it or use it!! haha.
Thank you very much for what you have done, you have provided a great service and i look forward to dealing with you again.
Best Regards
Scott
P.S please pass on my regards and thanks to the other guys!

Hello Peter
I recieved the guns earlier.
I'm really pleased with both of them, the Thomas Jackson looks fantastic. Dennis has brought out the best in the woodwork, it looks superb and Pauls blacking really finishes the whole gun off...
I could sit admiring it for quite some time before I got bored.
The AYA stock is a great rescue job, the only problem now is that the oil finish on the stock is significantly nicer than the original finish on the forend!
On that topic I would be most interested to know exactly what Dennis uses to finish the woodwork and also what treatment he recommends to keep it in good order.
I took the AYA straight to the clay ground and was actually quite surprised when I managed 48 out of 50 sporting and 23 at skeet.
Considering I was worried it might be a write off I'm rather pleased with how well it shoots!!!
Once again, many thanks to yourself, Dennis and Paul for a truly superb service.
Dennis mentioned that he intended to take some pictures of the Thomas Jackson to put on your website, I would be more than happy to write a testimonial to go with them if you'd like.
Best Regards
David

Hi guys,
I'd like to recommend UK Gun Repairs for the work they've just done on my two shotties...
I've had them fitted at a very reasonable price and I'm incredibly pleased with the results. In addition, Dennis, who did the work, noticed a couple of other little niggles and put them right without further charge (although I obviously can't promise he'll do the same for everyone! ).
First class work, and a first class, friendly service at good prices - I'll certainly be going to them again!
Cheers
Doug

Dennis Stepney of UK Gun Repairs carried out an exceptional piece of work on my Miroku Mk 38 Sporter and saved me thousands of pounds in the process...
I was struggling to raise my Skeet averages and noticed an inconsistent gun mount so I decided to seek a second opinion. I visited a local gun centre who correctly identified that my stock was too long and then kindly attempted to sell me a £4000 Browning game gun with a shorter stock.
I knew Dennis and so decided to give him a call. He assessed my gun mount and gave me a very reasonable quotation to shorten the stock and treat the wood to a traditional English finish. For a grade 1 it really is a beautiful looking piece of wood now, completely transformed from its original out of the factory look and not embarrassed next to Grade 5’s.
My averages have increased, although I have put a lot of practice in, but I am mostly pleased by the improved appearance of the gun. I no longer feel the need to go to the unnecessary expense of a new gun purchase, not to mention going through the practice and time required to adjust to a new gun after 10 years of shooting this with this one.
Kind regards
Richard

Dear Dennis, I would like to take this opportunity to thankyou personally for the time you spent ensuring Michael's gun fitted him properly and ensuring that he understood a correct gun mount and shooting position...
He now is shooting on a regular basis with his school and achieving scores in the top 10% - much to his delight and, of course, mine!
I do not believe that this would have been possible without your input. Your contact details are always with me and at any time I am delighted to pass same on to interested parents.
Yours truly, Gordon.

To all at UK Gun Repairs, Just a few words of thanks...
Traditional true 1950's style business. Excellent communication skills and superb work. Sadly 2009's pricing, however, delighted with the finished product and will be sending my gun to you at the end of the season 2010. You are in safe hands here. Andrew

Dear Peter, Just a quick note to thank you all at UK Gun Repairs for the work carried out on one of my Stephen Grants...
I know from previous experience had I sent if off to my usual place on any minor breakdown, it would have been months before I saw the gun again! I also spotted that you took out a couple of dents/scratches to the stock – that was most kind of you – thank you.
I shall have no hesitation in recommending you at the very least to members of my syndicate.
Best Wishes Andrew.

It was with some trepidation, that I decided to send my much loved union Armera side lock 12 gauge, to these chaps at UK Gun Repairs...
But I must say after talking to the on the phone and discussing what needed to be done, I felt a lot more at ease. So away it went. I need not have worried. They do a fine job of the refurbishment for me, London Blacked the barrels, polished the bores, stripped & cleaned the action Re-checkered both foreend & stock, and finally a nice oil finish. I am over the moon with their work, top notch. There service is informative and more to the more to the point, on time, i would have no hesitation in going to these chaps in the future, or recommending them to anyone who needs work done, on their prized possession. You are in safe hands here. Dennis
